Georgios Polyravas is an Architect Engineer from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, with a Master's degree in the Restoration of Monuments and Historical Ensembles from the University of Rome "LA SAPIENZA" and a PhD in the Construction of Historic Houses with Timber Constructions in the Province of Serres, from the Democritus University of Thrace. It has a wide range of publications and articles on architectural topics, as well as publications on the personal project. Participated in research projects and conferences. Author of many books related to the Architecture of Historic Buildings, he worked as a Freelancer in the restoration of historic buildings and studied many residential and office buildings. With long experience in public services as Head of theDepartment of Urban planning Serres and as Head of the Department of Environment of the Municipality of Serres, he dealt with the problems of Local Government Organisations contributing to their improvement. With a long experience in higher education, from 1994 until today, he taught in Vocational Training Institute, at Technological Educational Institute and Universities of the country. He was certified and joined the registers of S.E.K. trainers. of E.KE.PIS. in 2002. From 2021 until today he is an Academic Scholar, at the International University of Greece in the Department of Interior Architecture based in Serres, with autonomous teaching in the fields of knowledge, 'Structural Art I & II and IV 'Cultural Spaces'. His contribution to society is evidenced by the Architectural study offer of the Archdiocese of the Holy Metropolis of Serres and Nigritis and by the Offer of the building permit of the newly built Church of Agios Basilios of the Lefkona Community of the Municipality of Serres.
